Nergis Petersen, MA, LPCC

As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, I genuinely care for people, and aim to help people toward a more positive place in their life. I am non-judgmental, engaging and attentive to each person’s unique needs. I work with adults, adolescents, couples and families. I specialize in anxiety management, depression, trauma informed care, relationships, parenting support, life transitions, grief and loss, self-care and self- awareness. I am passionate about supporting individuals facing challenges with substance use, and sustaining their recovery plans. I utilize therapy that is focused on strengths and reducing stress within a system, whether that is the family unit, work team, peer group, etc. I engage people with compassion, collaborate on goals to work on, and assist with improving relationships with self and others. I received my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from St. Mary’s University. Additionally I clinically supervise other clinicians working toward their licensure, as well as facilitate workshops on a wide range of topics.
